I'm 6'5", 260lbs with a 36" inseam. For some strange reason, the 86/BRZ fits me like a glove. Tight for sure, but not uncomfortable. Plenty of head room (enough for a helmet if I did a track day) and leg room is fine. Again...it's not luxury car type room...but very livable.
I tried a ND Miata, and that was claustrophobic. I loved the car, but I felt so cramped...and that was with the top down. |

Side mounting aftermarket seats will solve fitting issues... can pretty much get a more ideal sitting position. Currently have bottom mount seat that less than 1/2" lower than stock seat, my head is about 1/2" from the headliner - if I look out the side windows my eyes are basically near the top edge of the door glass...and looking forwards can't see traffic light signals unless I bend down some and look up. I'm 6'2" with 34" inseam and no way a helmet would be any kind of comfortable in a normal driving position, would have to drive in a compromised position.

I'm 6' 2" all torso (picture a 6'5" guy with sawed off legs) and fit in the car fine when not wearing a helmet.
Different story when I am wearing a helmet. I had a Sparco seat for a while with very low seat mounts. It added about an inch which barely helped because I would have to sit further forward with it, which put my head at a part along the car's roofline where there was actually less clearance. It also made the pedals feel funny since they arc in a path that is meant for someone not sitting literally an inch off the floor. Anyone taller than me in terms of upper body height would have a hard time driving this car. |

I honestly wouldn't get it as a daily, but as a weekend/project/track car I love mine. Kept my 04 Accord as a daily

Anyone know if there is more seat travel with the back seat removed? Might help OP. Remove seat, install custom seat rails?

I'm 6'4, 270. Mine was fine, I fit perfectly fine (besides trying to fit a helmet). However, the clutch was an issue. My knee was constantly hit the wheel, and especially when reversing. I got used to clutching at a 45 angle, but it just wasn't ideal. I have heard some people remove some of the cushion in the seats and it gives you a little more room.
