Come on over to Syracuse... Honestly, it was late coming this year, too. We got our first real foot or two only last week.

I'm originally from Rochester, NY.

Lest we forget, in the Northeast.... REAL winter BEGINS in February, and hopefully ends by April lst. And also, hopefully, the last taste of snow for the season is end of April.

Edit:

Well what I mean exactly is I'd expect February and March temps to be really cold, also lots of snow expected. Days when an older car just does not want to start.

Car engine not wanting to start temps being from +5 to - 14 F, -15 to -25 C.

And if you live in the Adirondack mtns...well let's not go there. Let's just say, if you are spotted walking there, on a road, lst car to travel by you will stop for you..no questions asked.

Kitty litter is handy to throw under tires to get traction in snow.

Ashes from fireplace also works well if you are short on sand or litter.

If snow is forecast I take the Forester and leave BRZ in garage. It doesn't have the right footwear to go to the snow dance

I live in Thunder Bay, Ontario... North of Toronto (15hr drive) and we just started getting snow a few days before Christmas. We usually have a solid amount of snow by end of October. If weather keeps going this direction, I won't be needing to store my car next year. (crossing my fingers)
