iPhone 5 new connector & BeSpoke?!?!?

I have the BeSpoke on my FR-S, and I just pre-ordered the iPhone 5. Can anyone say whether or not the adapter is going to work with the BeSpoke setup? Or, am I going to have to buy a $79.99 cable to make it work?

Umm doesn't it use bluetooth to connect? Either way the end you would plug in to the car is still a usb.

The USB (car-side) to old apple connector (iPhone side) cable must be used in order for the BeSpoke navigation features to work. Some functionality such as hands-free phone, ipod, etc are available via bluetooth, though. My cable was not originally provided with my BeSpoke radio, and I didn't even know that one was required (because no documentation came with my BeSpoke radio initially). But, the cable and documentation were eventually provided. I hope they didn't go out and order tens of thousands of the old cable design. I just hppe that the existing cable (which I just received in the past month or so) works with the $30 adapter. If not, I am going to be out $79 (or more) for a new cable.

so the original cable that comes with the phone wont work? And you have to buy a $79 cabel just to get nav. to work? Thats ridiculous you could almost buy a gps for that price these days and from the reviews I've read it would work better than bespoke. hears one for $10 bucks more http://www.amazon.com/Garmin-nüvi-4-...0&keywords=gps

The cable that comes with the phone should work. If you need a second one, Apple sells them for $19.99.

The iPhone 5 will come with a 30-pin to Lightning adapter. The cable that comes with the bespoke should work.

Apple said that was a typo. It only comes with the lightning to USB cable.

-Lightning to USB $19.00

-Lightning to 30 pin dock adaptor $29.00

I have not been able to find a clear answer regarding the backwards compatability. Just digital audio should work, but advanced features like bespoke may be a different story.

From what I understand the lightning connector doesn't support video out.

Apple didn't get rich selling phones and MP3 players.

They got rich selling cables that cost $0.50 to make for a minimum of $20.

I wish car stereos would just go to the same standard that every other piece of non-Apple electronics has started using...the microUSB......

i believe the adapter wont allow you to stream music using the cable though :/
But you can always use the cable that came with the phone or even buy another cable to use from apple.
