Hello everyone and thank you for reading this post.
This may be the wrong place to post this question, if so I apologize and maybe someone could point me in the right direction?
My brz is just over 300whp but turn is boost by gear (VSS).
The issue for me is slower entries with longer wide outside sweeps I'm having to inter in 2nd when it should be 3rd or entering in 3rd when it should be 4th.
So my next step is getting rid of the boost by gear?

What are my next steps?

More angle?

Kit suggestions?

Try reading this informative thread first and then posting in there to get some answers;

More angle is a given if you haven't already. Angle kits, knuckles and tie rods are available.

Not sure about boost by gear but try getting rid of it and see if any difference. Any turbo lag won't help also.

Tyre pressure is important also.

Thank you. I have read all 103 pages and have more questions to fallow. I have an appointment with the tuner to get rid of the boost by gear. More angle is the next step and I'm torn and rather confused between wisefab pbm and others. Any suggestions???

Not to mention that I have a few sets of 18x9.5 +40 wheels that it's sounding like I will have to get rid of

You can always put the wheels on the rear and get rid of them the proper way!

I just have the inner tie rods with increased angle(megan or similar), they get enough angle for what I need at the moment.

Depends if you want to go full on first up?

If you do then get an angle kit(wisefab or something like that).

It may be driving skill as well, are you entering in third correctly-e.g. inducing drift sufficiently with angle or power?

Wow you guys amazing! Thanks for the time and responses!

Ya burning tires for sure but the wheels are a shame.

Full on first up?

Is there an angle kit that may allow me to keep my wheels?

I like how gentle you were with the skill comment...lol. Yes it is all due to a lack of skill and knowledge, but I'm in it to learn it.

What I meant by full on first up is did you want to go straight to an angle kit or just tie rods first. Sounds like you want to go straight to an angle kit(full on).

Have a look at this for your wheel fitment; https://www.ft86motorsports.com/wheelitfit/

As you increase the angle you will start to rub the wheel on the inner fender on full lock, you can fix this by adding spacers. I run 3mm spacers and still get a bit of rub of full lock. I would guess you would need 20mm spacers with your wheels.

You will also start rubbing your outer fenders with more angle, people add fender kits to allow the wheel to fit without tearing the fender off on full lock.

It is like a rabbit hole, the deeper you go.. more angle, wider fenders, spacers, suspension......it keeps going as far as you want.

I am not an expert in any way on drifting or angle kits, hopefully some of the more experienced people can help more.

A bit more info on this thread page;

Check out youtube vids also and the drifting thread also has lots of reference to angle kits and knuckles. From what I have read PBM,Wisefab,Driftknuckle are popular.
