Washed it once a week for the first couple of months I had it... brought it down to every 2 weeks during the summer since we have some water restrictions.

Full interior clean every 3-4 weeks and tire shine every 2-3 weeks.

Plan to wax 4 times a year, so I am just about due for it.

DGM like most dark colours seems to show dirt/dust after 2-3 days and it drives me nuts. This is my first brand new car and I want to keep it looking that way for as long as I can.

I've spent way too much on car care stuff but it's so worth it to drive around in a pristine vehicle

i hand wash about every weekend or every 2 weeks weekend depends. i use a spray coating every 2 months or so. during the week i simply rinse it off with plain water a few times a week depends on how dirty it gets. i always blow dry after rinsing with leaf blower. never use quick detailers or rinseless wash or touch the car when it is dirty or dusty thats how you get swirls marks. the only time i touch the paint is when i hand wash and do a detail to do spray coating. if you keep up with the car and do toucless in between rinses between hand washes the car will stay cleaner. never use quick detailers instead of rinsing. nothing works like flowing water to get the light dust dirt off.

Without the temperature sensor the ECU has no idea of what signal to send to the temperature gauge ..... so, since the default is zero, your gauge won't be working.

Back-in-the-day, when a car overheated, coolant would steam out and you could tell it was overheating and shut off the engine before major damaged happened.

With todays high compression, high revving engines, they overheat so quickly that the rods will seize up before steam escapes the cooling system.

How will you know when this happens? You will hear a series of loud "knocks", sounds like a jackhammer, then a loud BANG, followed by a lot of blue smoke and steam.

When will it happen ...... who knows ......

What can you do about it ...... nothing, you're screwed .....

Which coating product are you using?

Once every 2-3 weeks.

Got this on top of my clear bra. If maintained, it could last more than the stated 1 year longevity.

I wash once every week or two in the warm months.

Less bugs and driving it in general when it is cold so it only gets washed once a month then. Also, washing in winter is not fun...

No But my car always looks show room new all the time. I really like my car and take pride in it. I have used some of the chemical guys stuff it's ok but dosen't work as well as some other products. In the past I used all professional stuff I had a really nice detail spray but they stopped making it and the one shop I use to use went out of business years ago. The better you take care of it then longer it will last. I will not be getting another car for a vary long time so I will keep it as nice as I can.

I usually wash mine once a week, might skip one week if it's gonna rain for many days. The grime is not visible when the car is wet, and the car will get dirty again after just one drive.

Not driving mine in winter tho. Winter beater (1999 Corolla E11) is washed at least once a week during winter, usually more often.
