Fog Light Wiring?
I bought new bulbs for my fog lights because initially I thought they had both gone out (never got around to changing the bulbs)... Fast forward a few weeks and now they're both on, fast forward again and now one is on one is off... And today they're both of off again.
I have no experience with wiring but have watched enough YouTube videos to have some idea of where each wire us supposed to go... Any recommendations on how to diagnose what's wrong with the lights? |

First try swapping bulbs from side to side. That will eliminate a bad bulb.

I tried the new bulbs and still doesn't work, even tried changing the ground and battery connections + cleaning them...
Edit: FML just broke the connector on the wire connection to the battery... |

How did you break that connector?
I'm out in terms of ideas. Only thing I can think of is if each fog light has its own fuse. |

Haha great question... I might have over tightened (not sure what the term is but basically the clip on the end of the wire that connects to the battery broke).
Its possible the fuse is bad as it looks like there was some excess gunk around it... If not that there's got to be a break somewhere... I'll screw around again tomorrow, if worst comes to worst I'll just get new wiring and hope that solves the problem... edit: *Looks like I should be able to repair the wire pretty easily by crimping it (had no idea what crimping was before reading up on it just now lol) Last edited by 02.ACCORD.DUDE; 11-25-2016 at 11:51 PM. |

Eh... So I hastily repaired the wire (even tried direct connecting it without a connection pin / loop) and changed the fuse still a no-go...
Someone suggested the relay may be bad... Is swapping in / out the relay a simple plug in and out ? That's really the last thing I'm thinking about trying if that's a no-go, I'll buy a completely new wiring set and either re-wire the lights myself or have the dealership do it on my next service appointment... |
