It's called reverse psychology my friend! And it worked! I wanted it to have more HP than my old POS 2G Eclipse had 14 years ago. 275hp will do nicely, although I'm curious to see how they changed the manifold/turbo. I hope it's not the same disaster that the Sonata has where the turbo is welded to the manifold. We'll see in time though. I really need it to go on sale soon. Dieing for a new car! |

Wow, Hyundai is stepping up their game. I think the car looks great, do we know what price point they're shooting for? There's a Hyundai dealership just around the corner from my apartment, can't wait to see one of these in person.

I cant imagine them being much more than the current GC's. It's just a mid-model refresh.

Almost 800 lbs heavier than the FRS, not really interested.

The 2.0 is 695#s heavier, (1525kg=3362#, 3362#-2667#=695#) but you're comparing it with the 350hp v6(@772#s heavier) to exaggerate your point, right?
Silly lightweight>power guys and your trickery. :happy0180: |

Low weight is something, but not everything. Different weight cars are in a different class, that's all. Me in my RX-8 and some guy in his M3 both can have a blast on a track run, and play together for a while. It's just that he's way heavier. Regardless he'll win the lap, pull on me out of the corners. Weight with power doesn't mean worse handling. Just different.

That is what I want right there. No fogs, in the charcoal gray. Super sexy. Apparently the GC's 2.0T is NOT the same as the Sonata's 2.0T, it's an "improved" GC 2.0T engine with a twin-scroll turbo with a maximum of 30PSI and a larger intercooler, replacing the MHI TD04H-13TK3 with a max of 15PSI. That's good news! AND it's getting an 8speed automatic transmission mated to the paddle shifters. Last edited by 82mm 4g63; 11-13-2011 at 07:35 PM. |

Good God that new front end is ugly. Certainly more aggressive.. but damn.. blech.
Nice play by Hyundai on the 2.0T's power output. Why buy the V6 now? |
