my bad, guess I was supposed to infer all the details you left out about what you were referring to. cherry picking and stretching minute details doesn't make it look like a genesis jfc lol

Look guys, the 2nd album is always a difficult one to produce, it looks like Subaru bombed with their 2nd album.. Perhaps the 2030 all electric version may put things right.. and until then let's enjoy our Series 1.. Anyone who has the urge to "Rocket Bunny" their series 1, can I suggest that the butchery is left for the series 2.

I guess the good news about this being a joint project is there’s hope that Toyota did the design better.
Same. The 50% extra rigidity was a very nice surprise. I just can't get over the looks - this thing is ugly. I'll have to wait and see final pricing & the Toyota version

If you read everything I have said instead of picking and choosing what you HATE you would find that I have been and continue to be a major ambassador for this platform. I just don't like the looks of the new pre riced, boy racer special BRZ.

I don't "hate" anything that is a new thing that people like to say when others don't agree. The bulk of my objections to new "info" is that it is not info at all. It is myth, misunderstood or just plain made up bullshit. I will call out what I feel is bullshit until proven wrong.

80 pounds heaver is heavier no matter how you want to justify it. The eyesight is only on the Ats and weighs about a pound. The lower COG has nothing to do with the overall weight of the car.

As far as my thoughts and speculation (I can do it to you know) on things such as where it would be produced or if it will cost more goes no I am not a Toyota insider. I am however a senior manager in a top 3 automotive parts manufacturing company and have been doing this for 30 years. Sometimes the data will change and what I predicted will be wrong but you will find that the majority of the time the information I have is far more accurate than the clickbait sites that make shit up. The big difference is that I can not say what I do know or where it came from or I will end up on the streets and never work in the industry again.

The irony of all this is that the guys that know the least are the first to jump in and scream "hater" whenever there is something said that they don't like.
No, unfortunately I did not catch every single comment you've said in this 170 page thread, nor do I have 30 years of experience as a 'señor manager'. Those were just my general impressions that I got from you in these past few months and all of them have ranged from skeptical to strongly negative, with a few neutral opinions here and there. However, If I am wrong about, or missed anything that says otherwise, then I apologize for that and take it back.

That being said, my feelings about how people choose to perceive this car is the same. Subaru/Toyota have addressed numerous problems that the 86 had like, someone posted a pic of the torque curve that was flattened out, which is obviously a great thing because that's the main complaint people had right? No. Your first reaction is to say there's still a torque dip there. I apologize if your 30 years of experience has tuned your senses so well that you can perceive that tiny undulation of torque. You are truly one of the best drivers I have ever had the chance to meet.

In the end of the day, it's your opinion though and you have the right to express it, but I'm gonna use mine to say you're a huge downer. That's it.

The more I look at the front, the more it grows on me. Still hoping for a slightly meaner looking front end on the Toyota version.

Love the bump in torque...woo!

The twins always had a profile similar to the Lexus RC and RCF
The new side vent makes it look more similar to the RCF now since the design is the same

The taillight design isnt unique so theres alot of cars that it could look like. NSX for one.
