Front wheel bearing
Maybe somebody has gone thru this.
Bought a front wheel bearing for my BRZ(HA590315 from Timken), after verifying it was the "correct one" in a couple of places, what I received does not look like what I have in my car. http://www.amazon.com/Timken-HA59031.../dp/B0031HRJ5S You can see there is a hole for an axle. OEM looks like this: http://www.frsport.com/Subaru-28373C..._p_398295.html Notice the caps. OEM is 28373CA000. My question is, do I remove the caps myself and install in the new bearing, or did I simply receive the wrong part? Thanks for any help. |

You got the wrong part. It's not the cap that makes the front and rear wheel bearings different, there's more to it. I suggest sending what you got back. If you're ordering off Amazon go for the Centric 406.47001. That is the correct front wheel bearing, I just got two of them.

Hope you get issue solved. However, may I ask how much mileage does the BRZ have, and reason for changing?

The BRZ has 17000 miles in it. The reason I'm replacing it is because I was getting a loud rumbling when turning right at the track. The rumbling sound and vibration was like going over the rumble strips on the highway that keeps you awake when you doze off. "Dodge Patitas" no habia escuchado eso en aņos. lol |

Bringing the topic back from the dead, but I may have to replace one of mine as well and I got this part number TIMKEN HA590518 for the front. It looks to be the right one. Just sharing for future reference.
