Just buy a tube of silcone and pull the sump off (i assume the sump doesnt use a gasket) youll be able to tell right away if the rods are stock if they are real skinny. I wouldnt assume based on the noise it makes on a cold start weather the pistons are forged or not, that will depend on what material their made out of, if their 4032 forged aluminum you wont get piston slap

Licenses are stored, so yes, all he needs is an ECUTEK cable and dongle. He can then identify the tune in the ECUTEK software. Then, yes, datalog would at least confirm everything looks good.

@Whoodoo

Maybe buy a smaller scope. You can get a cheap $35 endoscope on Amazon.

In theory, if all other things are equal then compression testing might show different results. Like if atmosphere is 14.5psi the 10:1 would be 145psi and 20:1 would be 290psi, so maybe a 10:1 might be less than 12.5:1.
