Badging and Pininfarina inspiration...

Well I ordered a black "TRD" Racing Development badge a while back to replace the piston badge I was using in place of the rear Scion emblem. When it came in and I removed the piston badge I remember there were holes and the TRD badge didn't cover them being a long skinny badge... So I was wondering what to do... took measurements of the hole distances and found that the second option I considered (a shorter but taller silver "TRD" Racing Development one) would just BARELY work to cover the holes.

But I still had this black one that I could do something with maybe... so I take the badge and go hunting around the car to see if it would be useful to put anywhere else. And then it hit me... maybe go the Pininfarina route... hmmm. Held it on the rear quarter panel above the rocker panel and looked okay to me! Only had one badge though...so I ordered a second one for the other side off Amazon along with the new rear. Once everything came in I sanded the edges down (because the edges looks CHEAP and irregular like right off a stamped press), cleaned and dewaxed the area for installation and installed all three badges. I've had them on for a few weeks now. Wish the side badges weren't so thick, but I can live with it.

So if you want to see what this looks looks like (on a dirty car unfortunately...):

As for the front badge I still have no clue as to what I want to do with it...it will remain bare with holes as it has been for quite a while. Actually I do have a clue of what how i would like to resolve the issue - but I can't afford the front end I want to replace the stock one...nearly $2k for a BUMPER cover is pretty steep, though it is the most sexy and fitting thing for an 86... If someone made a version locally (and with NO BADGE) for much less I would be in their debt:
