It's comparable to most of the quality off the rack stuff you can buy. I got some as a gift and can't complain. It's almost gone now and I'll be switching over to Ammo.

Larry the owner of Ammo is a a really nice guy who's taken the time to respond to my questions and given me some tips. His other stuff for the wheels is awesome. Aside from earning my business in that regard, I'd have no issues staying with the V07 from CG.

Ammo definitely great stuff, but its more expensive. I will likely use more of his stuff in the future. I like Sonax stuff as well.

I buy a cheap detailer for claying and using as a lubricant to clean up dirty spots.

Essentially quick detailer is just gloss agents, light lubrication, and scent along with a majority of the product being water. If you do not intend to wax or seal every few months then the product you want is Optimum spray wax especially so if its the only product you will use as protection. The product has 2 patents for clear coat protection. Essentially the products is capable of protecting your clear coat for degrading any further. I would recommend a ph neutral car wash soap like Optimum for washing so you are not removing it with every wash.

This was my understanding as well, which is why I was surprised to see on the back of a bottle of Meguiars Ultimate Quik Detailer that it "contains isopropyl alcohol". - Isn't this commonly used for stripping wax or sealant from the top of the clear coat, for preparation to apply a new coat of wax or something like cquartz or opticoat.

Strange to find out that it has alcohol in it when you think you are protecting your existing layer of wax.

Wax twice a year with Optimum Wax and use Optimum Instant Detailer in between when you wash car. I don't wash or wax my anymore since I had shoulder surgery. Detail shop that did my ceramic coating is doing it for me. I hope next year I can begin to wash n detail on my own.

Interesting they would use IPA in their quick detailer, ipa removes wax, must be used in a low concentration.

Its in their at a low concentration likely to solubilize one of the gloss agents. Probably has little effect on your wax. Use one of the detail sprays I mentioned and watch how the water beads. Resisting water is protection. I used to collinite the car, but now with these detailers its easier. I will add wax back into the mix for the winter. More protection from salt and dirt

I've had good results with that on both my Steel 86 and on my red motorcycles.

I only use it on cool surfaces in shade with clean premium microfiber cloths.

I've been using that for the past 4 years. I only wash my car two or three times a year, then use a sealant. I use chemical guys waterless wash to remove dust/dirt, then use that V7 afterwards. It's worked well for me - no complaints.

Maybe try this instead. Its like a spray on wipe off coating, but used to top off and create another sacrificial layer on top of the paint.
