2003 Evo 8 395/365, tons of maintenance
I just put in $5100 of maintenance April 7, not including tune. Right now it is tuned on 91oct making 395hp/365tq at 26psi. The EF2.5 turbo spools CRAZY fast. I really love this car but I have other priorities.
2003 Mitsubishi Evolution VIN JA3AH86F43U109158 118,5XX miles $17,500 I am willing to drive this car across the country with a deposit. This car is ready to go for a long long time. Recent Maintenance/Parts included--500 miles Timing Belt/Water pump Valve cover gasket Coolant/Oil EF 2.5 Turbo Fortune Auto 500 with fresh alignment Rebuilt throttle body Injectors/Fuel pump (1000 miles) Ferodo Pads DS2500 ETS UICP with TiAL qr recirc valve Power: MAP Intake/K&Nl Filter Buschur Racing 3" Turboback Exhaust/test pipe Buschur Racing "Street" FMIC (3.5" Garrett core) MAP LICP Revolver Cams 262/264 (11.4mm lift/11.5mm lift) BC Springs/Titanium Retainers Spoolin' Up COP ignition MAP Headstuds Buschur ported/coated exhaust manifold MAP coated intake manifold (not ported) Ported 02 housing(MAP high temp coated) FIC 1100cc injectors DW 300-1 fuel pump Forge MBC with Grimmspeed 3 port hybrid setup Stock crushed IX Valve Zeitronix Wideband/ZT2 gauge (red backlight) ACT clutch/prolite flywheel Suspension: Fortune Auto 500 Coilovers 8k/8k spring rates Robispec adjustable rear anti sway bar Whiteline Roll Center kit Brakes: Rotorpros slotted rotors Ferodo DS2500 (I have a set of street pads laying around too) Technafit Stainless Brake lines Super Blue DOT 4 Wheels/Tires: BBS IX MR wheels with Hankook Winter Ipike 409's (225/45/17) - TONS of tread left Evo X GSR wheels (fresh black powdercoat) with Michillen PS3 tires (10k miles) Interior/Exterior/Misc: Vortex Generator Carbon Fiber trunk Blacked out head lights VII tail lights Tinted windows (35% sides, 20% rear) Optima Red Top battery replaced my original battery within the past year Clifford alarm/keyless entry AMS Delrin shift knob Stewart Warner Oil Temp and Boost gauges Prosport Oil Pressure 3 Gauge with OEM radio relocation Binary Seat lowering bracket (driver's side) Schroth Rallye 4 harness Blox front Transmission mount Buschur Racing shifter base and underhood transmission linkage bushings EGR block off/delete Exterior: The paint is in excellent condition for it's age. I recently put a JDM rear bumper on with an STM rear crash beam, so the pictures are mixed (some USDM some JDM, but it's a JDM) I've tried to take care of this car the best that I can. The front bumper and hood have a fair amount of small chips. There are two very minor dings on each side that could be easily removed. One not so nice ding on the rear passanger QP. Other than that, the paint and body are in excellent condition for a 2003 and no rust on the body panels! The underside has very little rust compared to some of the 03-06 evo's I've witnessed. Interior: Very good condition. The drivers seat has normal wear and tear. Never been smoked in. Things I will be repairing: Front driver caliper bolt is cross threaded/seized Caliper seals are blown Sunroof screws are falling out which means it will drop----do not want Fix heater knob (awesome 2003 issue which means the dash needs to come out) Shorten Exhaust ![]() ![]() This rear spoiler and USDM rear are no longer on the car ![]() WHAT IT CURRENTLY LOOKS LIKE ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Last edited by evoforstevo; 05-16-2014 at 06:07 PM. |

In this video, I mention the o2 sensor being faulty (Dumb/slow). I installed a new UICP yesterday and found the stock BOV was hardly attached to the intake. With the new TiAL qr installed, it is running SO much happier. It's a fantastic car! Last edited by evoforstevo; 05-16-2014 at 06:07 PM. |

I appreciate your reply. Most 2003 Evo 8's are going for 14-16k without a built engine. However, most (90%) don't have the maintenance history this particular example does. I've replaced $10,000 of parts in the past 2,xxx miles. The car just had an ETS upper intercooler pipe, TiAL qr recalculation valve installed yesterday. It will be going in for a second tune on e85 so that it can be driven anywhere and tracked with the safe qualities of ethanol.
On that note, the price has been dropped to $17,500. |

I passed this along to someone who mentioned wanting one. GL with the sale. I wish I had the money I would scoop it myself.

Unfortunately, the car is being parted out and sold in stock form or traded in on a new brz limited. I really appreciate you passing it along!
