Go for it bud! Theres no difference between the wrx and brz that makes one a rally car and the other a track car... So what most people run coilovers and spoilers! Lift that shit and put bad ass tires on it, but for the love of god do not drive it like lambo when it should be driven like a rally car.
Enjoy it, id be Psyc'd to see a different take on this car even though its nit my style and im going run coilovers and a big spoiler lol. Sent from my LG-H831 using Tapatalk |

My wife has a Crosstrek, I have the BRZ. I'm pretty sure this is what would happen if the Crosstrek rear ended the BRZ lol...
Also, it's awesome. Offroad shooting brake. It's like the Africa rally 911 vs the shooting brake 458's.

There's nothing wrong with lifts on a BRZ. I'd still say wait and see. A good set of WINTER tires is probably going to be the best investment if you will drive when it's cold. The lift and bigger tires aren't going to protect you from moving speed bumps. The best defense is still the staid old ways of slow down in high traffic areas and especially at dawn/dusk and at night. The paint chips just from dust and road debris anyway.
I have checked to see if there is a road armor/rally armor sort of cattleguard. But all they have is brightly colored mudflaps. Because mudflaps are going to do anything for deer and debris... On second that, just get mudflaps. |

The raccoon put a hole in the bumper the size of a basketball. Plus my foglight, DRL, windshield washer fluid reservoir, and fenderliner all vanished with the critter. Few thousand dollars in parts and labour, and it looked as good as new. |

Maybe get a WRX or VW GTI.
More clearance, turbo, good cruisers. |

Well, never did the body lift. It has 215/55-17 blizzaks on it right now. I definitely like the gearing and extra ground clearance better with the taller tires on it. Gonna look at some nice summer tires the same size for it. The blizzaks certainly are quite mushy. Maybe 18" rims to reduce that sidewall will help. I know snow tires are not as stiff by design though. Sorry but its filthified from snow/rain/slop. Between house repairs and the engine on my truck going POP, haven't had the cash to really get in to too many changes yet. Especially with the taller tires, torque is needed more than ever!
And just for the record, I am SOOOOOO in love with this car! Last edited by SmaxxSmith; 01-03-2020 at 11:29 AM. |
