lighting gurus help needed please

Ok so for starters I have my DRLs shut off through the ECU via the dealership.

I plan to put on an LED strip that would become my new DRL. I have two options and want to take some advise or opinions on what you guys think.

1. Wire the new DRLs to a constant power that would turn on when the car turns on and stay on even at night when headlights are on. This option is very simple but I dont know how I feel about having another set of lights on at night. I dont want to be "ricey".

2. Wire the new LED strip using the existing DRL wiring on the FRS however I do not want the high beams on at all but still fully functional if i were to ever use them (aka i dont want to just tap into the high beam power wire) Do you guys think this is possible. Then when i turned on my regular headlights for night they would shut off like normal DRL. If anyone has a wiring diagram of the headlights and what wires are for what that would be great.

Let me know what route i should take. Thanks

Because the DRLs are the high beams.

Yeah ^^ what he said.....

The drls are high beams operated at a lower voltage which has them give a yellow light. I think Im just going to go with option 1 and have them on at all times.
