Just pick a pipe size (I recommend 2.5" - if no other exhaust/power mods), with the 5" mufflers (if you want to hear yourself think inside your closed up car).

I agree with this.. I too have the same setup.. And this system truly makes this car sing like a true sports car.. It's a nice deep tone that isn't just making loud "look at me" noise..
It sounds like a fine tuned exotic machine when you wrap it out.. Yet is reasonably quiet and easy to live with as a DD.. Highly recommended !

Hi VADER,

The best option would be to go with Borla! We offer a cat-back system (part #140496) and unequal length header (part #17284) for your FR-S. Our cat-back system will give your car added horsepower and torque, better fuel economy, and a more aggressive sound with minimal drone. If you add on our headers, you’ll get even more power gains and a louder exhaust.

Our cat-back system comes with dual 4.25” polished tips, and just like the headers, is made of high quality, 300-series austenitic stainless steel, and comes with our Million Mile Warranty. I’ve included a link below to our YouTube video of our cat-back system for the the FR-S. If you have any questions, please give us a call at 805-986-8600. Good luck with your search!

Perrin 3" exhaust hands down. Additionally the 3" is a robust exhaust base should you decide to do any FI upgrades.

ARK DT-S no drone, perfect growl. Doesn't get ridiculous with catted front pipe and overpipe either

Also it's nice to look at lol

full blown motorsports dual. Its 3 inch so its a little big for NA. No drone, quiet under partial throttle and smooth sounding under 3800. Then it barks, rumbles and burbles finishing with a slight hint of rasp right at the rev limiter. Tips look factory, it replaces the front pipe and Vbands are nice. Quality is great. I just replaced my TRD with it.
My turbo is in the mail but im willing to bet with a turbo it will be about as loud as my trd at low throttle/rpm. Its only slightly louder now until 3800 then it gets much louder(than the trd) as i feed throttle in. I lost some ground clearance though.
