I hadn't been there in ~10 years either, so a little more seat time and I could clean it up further. That said, still pretty pleased with how this little FA20 is holding up against some pretty stout competition. Need to find another 5hp at my weight, and should be more competitive against the top 5.
Great to hear you are enjoying the platform and finding competitive pace! I look forward to more from you!

Emilio Cervantes 1:50.7 (AMB track system) which matched our Aim Solo
Video shows 1:50.5 but that's from Garmin VIRB so we didn't trust it

Nicely done! Not only an NA record, but nearly an overall platform record from a car with far less power and aero than the others on the list. Cant wait to see the development continue! #drivermod

Truthfully, we have pretty much reached our goal. We killed the lithium battery Saturday so we put a slightly heavier ETX14 AGM battery in for Sunday. Other than putting another lithium battery in, Blub isn't likely to get any more development. The goal was to build something real world that folks here could reasonably duplicate without requiring special techniques or fab work. It's also still a fully functional daily driver. Oh, it will eventually get that Renderos Racing roll bar if we can leave it at his shop long enough..

Very happy to reach the end of the project with something so dialed and fun to drive. Me, Ed and Sonny will still do the occasional 86Cup or 86DC event or maybe an autocross for a while. At some point, it will go up for sale. Semi legendary FRS, make offer

Our next project is full retard: an S550 Mustang with a turbo K24 making around 600whp mated to a BMW DCT 7 spd (flappy paddles!). 18x12 6UL's slathered in 335/30 tires all around. We already have Xida ACE shocks for it, just need a car to bolt them in to.

Both sad about the 86 development ending and happy to see the mustang take shape. Should be really cool. I would love to see what you guys could do with an 86 full retard build!

Um, this sounds amazing. I may need to join whatever Mustang forum you'll be on just to follow. haha

No build thread yet. Looking forward to all the hate we'll get for sticking a Honda engine into a Mustang.

Its gonna be epic, both the build and the hate. Although I am more intrigued by the DCT to K24.

Starting to drift this thread a bit too much but yeah we're excited about that combo too. Whatever tech we come up with we're going to share with KMiata. It would be a pretty neat drivetrain to put in any FR platform, including the 86

Thanks for the new Track. Never heard of Canaan. I also added it to my North American Track map since I didn't have it there either!

Does that track map update automatically if I have it saved to my Google Maps?

No problem, its a small, yet fun and technical track. Unfortunately it was damaged from a flood this year, but should be back up and running next year.
