Sounds cool. 35 years military, wow.

I'm still so nervous about everything, like something is going to fall thru. I'm not going to sleep well until we are in our new house. Are you guys coming out west in October?

Ordered new tires today, Michelin Pilot Sport 4S in 245/40/17. $840 installed at Auto Innovations in Milpitas.

The GT Radial Champiro SX2 tires I have on now still have good tread depth, but they have a date code of June 2013. They were purchased and installed in October of 2017. So, Elite Performance in Burlingame sold me tires that were already 4+ years old.

Since they're now nearly 6 years old, the rubber has dried out and gotten very hard. They're basically drift tires now in the dry, and in the rain they were pretty unpredictable and unsafe.

Needless to say, I will not be doing any further business with Elite Performance. Which is a shame, because their alignment tech Melody does a great job. I wish she would leave and go to a different shop.

You could just go there for alignment work.

It's the principle of the matter. I won't give them another dime under any circumstance.

Where have you been?

Elite installed my supercharger years ago and flexed the corner of my front end reinstalling it and made the only blemish in my paint.

They scratched some of my wheels around the lug holes when they installed the GT Radial tires, but I didn't say anything to them about it.

But honestly, why's it "OK" to scratch my Enkeis when they have a R35 Skyline sitting in the shop on $3k+ Advans. Surely they wouldn't scratch those when changing the tires on them, right?

Don't get me started on how the shop owner smokes cigarettes in the garage, subjecting his fellow employees, customers, and customer cars with their windows down to disgusting second hand smoke.
