Question Regarding GReddy Turbo
Alright so I'll be purchasing a BRZ once my 350z sells (because the dealer is giving me next to nothing for in my eyes) and i have some big plans for the BRZ. Anyways I've decided to go with the GReddy turbo kit and I want to achieve not the most but the majority of what this kit can produce, now because it will be a DD I need to keep it reliable. Now this is what I have planned out parts wise feel free to give any input. Cusco catch can, Deatschwerks 65c 265lph fuel pump, 450cc injectors, Perrin oil cooler, and GReddy Evo 3 exhaust. There's local shop here that specializes in installing turbos and tuning so I have that covered. Now my questions are do I need the 700cc injectors? and I have little to no knowledge on what to do as far as the ECU goes.

Alright thank you and GReddy's website says $5200, but I've shopped around and there's a few sites that are offering it for a few hundred dollars less.

Well if you are DD your car there are some factors, how far will you be traveling and is there a lot of traffic? If there is a lot of traffic you may not want to go to crazy with the power as you will have to change to clutch to a more aggressive clutch. If you can stick within the 250-260 whp range you can save your clutch for a bit depending on how aggressive you drive, and in that range you do not necessarily have to upgrade your pump and injectors. If you you plan on going 300 whp an up then consider all the upgrades as you stated but no matter what have your car tuned.

Check with Jm auto racing, I know last time I talked to them they had one more kit in stock and their price was way below that msrp from Greddy. Check forced induction page under marketplace and you will see their thread, PM them and tell Joe, Rich referred you.

Thank you for the reply, and yea I read a few more build threads and the pump and injectors dont seem necessary, possibly put that money towards a clutch. But I would like to hit high 200's possibly 270whp-290whp.

If you want HP numbers like that, then the torque will be enough to kill the stock clutch with quickness. I think those numbers are possible on the factory pump and injectors, but you will be running a higher duty cycle on the port injectors. I think the Cusco catch can is more bling then functional. I would look into other options and decide if you want to run a closed system or a vented one.

I know haha I was more looking for reliability and GReddy being a well known manufacture and brand i assumed but I think I've changed my mind to the fa20 kit as a few members have it and are going strong on 10,000 miles +

Don't hate the Greddy kits, awesome fitment, built to not blow up your engine, and completely streetable. And I have installed at least 100+ turbo kits and I have always enjoyed the greddy kits (except the RX8 one, greddy screwed that one up, LOL) |

If you have your heart set on the GReddy turbo kit, you should consider saving some coin and get the SBD.... or the Zage.... or the Tomioka.
And to answer your original question, no you won't need injectors unless you plan on breaking into the 300+hp range.

I have the SBD kit and it's been awesome so far. Just took a road trip from OKC to Houston. All temps were great and I averaged over 28mpg driving fast. Had a blast all week with it.
Power is good and delivery is nice. Makes all the cool sounds. I'm on stock clutch and fuel for the time being. Drivability is a dream. Should make 260-300whp depending on your mods and fuel quality. You'll just wanna pick up a gauge or gauges. I like my p3cars + innovate wired into the aux port. An ECUTek cable us a nice investment too. SBD also has a coupon code good through the end of the month.
