Oh I was showing those samples as what I drool over not suggesting they were for you! For what I would want at $10K you could pick up rotted hulk and sink $20K into it really fast. Not going to find much in the way of a true classic muscle car that isn't a full project for under about $20K. Even then it will need work.
My driveway barely fits 3 cars now. A tent or even a covered classic muscle car would take that down to one space. We have two DD cars so that is right out of the question. I have considered renting storage but that increases the cost of ownership way beyond what would be acceptable for a toy. Not to mention if I have to drive someplace to get it then it takes away all the spontaneity of "Let's go for a cruise" on a Sunday afternoon.

$28K (very rare mind you)

Here is one for ONLY $6K. Not even the muscle version!

When I said "relatively inexpensive" before I didn't really say relative to what.
Nothing saying you couldn't stumble across a deal but it will be cheaper for a reason.

That probably has a good 10% of the original car left!
The one you showed may be all the way up to 15% though.

well you are way out of muscle car range with a fox body. They hardly qualify as a pony car!

Someone mentioned Mopar things?

Im a mostly an import guy but I sometimes trip over some old muscle at car shows and races.

Found alone in the parking at Mt Tremblant a few years ago:

Had to fall to my knees at the sight of this at an old car show.

Best thing about the old Mopar is the color palette! They had some amazing colors.

Almost everything today is some shade of grey, including my own car Probably should have gone red the second time around. Wish the hyperblue had been available still. Oh well. Boring world it is.

Mopars are rare because they were not good cars and sales numbers were very low, so not many made compared to camaros, mustangs, etc.

Although true that they did not make as many it was more of a different business plan than a quality thing. Like the Twins they sold everything they built. The cars themselves dominated in actual performance for many years.
Those early Mustangs and Camaros were pretty much pure crap.

Lol. I remember watching this show about muscle cars, an episode about mopars, and this one family had a super low mileage original superbird. The reason they had it was because they used to own a dealership and could never sell it. Lucky break decades later I guess.

That is a one off and not indicative of the whole company. They probably couldn't sell it because they didn't try real hard.

"Honest dear I really tried to sell it but nobody want's it. Guess I will just have to hang onto it"

the only cheap fox bodies are convertibles. and take my word on this. you do not want a 90's convertible. back then, chassis stiffness was something more related to a hot dog than an i-beam.

Out of curiosity I checked Fox body 'Stang prices.
OH MY GOD WHY?

One of my favorite quotes about the Fox body Mustang..

"The Fox-body Mustang is a unibody car that was notorious for having the torsional stiffness of a wet piece of cardboard."

I don't know how accurate it is, but I was told back in the day that the convertibles were not built as convertibles, but coupes taken at the end of the line and sent to a shop and turned into convertibles with no additional body stiffening added. The 5.0 took little time to twist them.
