Remap snow/sport buttons

Hello everyone,

I have a manual 2013 GT86 and I've recently installed a custom exhaust with a valve. It's currently being controlled by a sketchy switch under the arm rest. I'd like to buy the traction control/VSC/snow module from a auto and use the snow/sport switch to activate my valve.

Anyone knows if remapping of those buttons has ever been done before ? I couldn't find it on the forum.

Thanks in advance

No, but you can cut the tracks of the PCB and pull the wires out. They control my gate remote control now.

call a junk yard for the wiring harness that plugs into that button set. just need to ohm out which wires go to the center buttons, and splice in the outer button wiring, and illumination circuits to make everything else work as it should.

from there, the sky is your oyster. or something.

What valve do you have? Remote or hard wired. I did not find any hard wired ones that did not need momentary switches. This will eliminate the push button option. I saw someone that mounted a small Momentary SPDT switch in the blank spot between the buttons. I mounted a larger switch above the cigarette lighter in the center console.

Just hook the snow / sport button up to a solenoid switch and it should work

The following thread shows what's inside the switch unit. I don't necessarily recommend duplicating what's shown, but the important thing is you get to see the board inside.

https://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=92390

If you buy a used AT set, you can avoid most of the hacking/fabricating, which for me was well worth the cost of buying the AT part. The only downside is you end up with switches that say snow/sport.

I transferred the rocker and plungers from the AT unit to my MT base, and drilled a carefully placed hole in the circuit board through which I ran wires to the previously unused up, down pins, and the common that this thread suggests cutting (but I didn't cut). If you're careful enough with the hole placement, you can avoid having to hack the switch body to get your wires out (they can just come out existing holes in the back) and avoids distorting the rubber piece with the switch domes.

An alternative is to get a wiring pigtail from an AT car, transfer one or two pins from that over to the connector in your car, just use the AT switch as-is. These pins are grounded when the respective button is pressed.

Alternatively, you can get one of my console switch panels and customize the labels with whatever text you want
