Replacing BRZ TRAPIZOIDAL RADIO

My 2013 BRZ Limited Radio with Nav, was better than this piece of CRAP in my 2017 Yellow BRZ Special Edition (sound also). After owning 15 Subaru's to date this is an insult not only that the radio sucks, but they went out of their way to make the radio fascia TRAPIZOIDAL in shape so putting in and after market unit is a challenge.
Well, since I fixed the power/torque problem in my Yellow BRZ with a Crawford Turbo, and all of Crawford's recommendations, I think I found a solution.
I sat in a new 2017 Toyota86 Orange Special Edition and there before my old eyes was a one piece suede radio trim dash unit. I called Crutchfield and they said ANY after market 2DIN system fits in this rectangle.
I ordered the Toyota 2017 86 suede Dash Trim (has the 86 LOGO on it) from FT86SpeedFactory for a little over $200. There technical staff said with the correct mounts it will work. I then ordered radio brackets and clips looking at the parts diagram from my Toyota dealer in case they are different on my BRZ (low cost parts).
I then called Crutchfield and wanted Apple Play, Garmin Navigation, Sirius XM, to use my steering wheel controls, my rear camera and God as my Co-Pilot. Buster, my Rep. recommended a Kenwood DNX893S 6.9" sXcelon 2DIN AV Navigation System, plus IDatalink Maestro with all the cables and that will give me everything. The Sirius module is $70 extra, but there is a mail-in rebate for the $70. I bought a factory refurbished unit and saved $300. I could have bought it cheaper on line but their service is impeccable.
I am having my local shop do my installation and they have a Kenwood expert with this same unit in his mint Toyota Supra and has installed the DNX893S with steering wheel controls, Sirius, and camera etc. many times before.
Everything is on order and as soon as it's all here the project will begin and I will post the progress. As far as the 86 logo on the right end of the dash trim, I have a Subaru WRX emblem that I plan to mount over it.
PS: Thursday I am replacing my 17" STI Wheels that came with the Yellow Edition and 215/45 17 Michelin Pilots (500 Miles) with Enkei Raijin 18X8.5 5-100 45 and BF Goodrich 255/40 18" G-Force Sport Comp-2 (CORRECTION: Went with 245/35 18 Michelin Pilot Super Sports)

Installed the Kenwood Today. Crutchfield supplied the two black spacers and the unit fits like a glove. 100% perfectly!!

Garage
I have the Kenwood DNX571HD in mine, the adapter the shop used isn't perfect but I'm happy with it.

Nice work! Isn't it great how our twins present us with solutions for almost anything?

My requirements are not as total as yours, but I do think I can coax decent sounding music out of my dash unit by replacing all eight speakers, even if I don't use a subwoofer and amplifier.

Good listening, y'all.

It is tough to tell, my garage has alot of yellowish light, but it sure is. A 100% perfect match, because its OEM, the Canadian versions of the series yellow, and regular BRZ came with a double din radio. Subaru of Canada only produced 50 Yellow special editions, so a few of us jumped at the chance to get that peice before they went OOS.

When I ordered mine, I was told there was only one unit available in the country.
