If you do the foulers, make sure to anti seize them. I did that trick in my STi and made the mistake of not putting anti seize and when I was removing my downpipe on my 30r kit I ended up snapping it off in there and there was no way of getting it out. Had to weld the hole closed.

So would the addition of the UEL header throw a CEL? I'm going to be putting on a catback soon and would love to grab a header too, but getting a tune is about as expensive as the header. I do want to keep as many cats as possible as well so not sure if this would help.

I've used one of these with success.

Oh nice. I'm guessing you have the UEL header then. How long have you had this extension installed?

Actually I'm running EL headers. Got a CEL after a few wks. Then installed the spacer and got one more CEL. But none for the last 4 months.

Makes me nervous about using one.
Yes, I would rather have the light (or tune it out) than using a spacer and coaxing the ECU into messing things up.

I actually posted that before learning that the ECU only checks for cat readyness via the secondary O2 sensor. Nothing to worry about using an O2 sensor spacer to avoid a CEL on the stock tune. No fueling issues based on lots of feedback from others running catless already.

And for some reason, my CEL turned off today. Gotta actually go check now and see if it's a different CEL. Fawk.

I have the angled one on the way but there's probably just enough clearance to run the minicat too. If you want a cheaper option then use autozone pn 42002 or 42009.

Read this post and watch the video: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showp...0&postcount=78
Did you buy 2 of the angled or just one? And if you did by one, do you only need the spacer for the second O2 sensor, by second the one furthest from the engine?

**edit** Based on me rereading this a couple of times I'm guessing you went with one angled bigdaddies spacer and put in the second (furthest from the engine)

I only bought one and never ended up using it. I came to my senses, like you and everyone else considering this should do: I tuned the engine for the header with Ecutek and disabled the CEL for catalyst efficiency.

I also got a refund for the Borla header and bought a JDL UEL header which is much better quality.
