You plainly have no idea what you are talking about, or are just generalizing too much. Have you ever had a flat tire? Do you realize that fix-a-flat is 1) extremely temporary and 2) won't work for flats that are cause by a rip or tear in the sidewall (or in the shoulder of the tire, as I have the unfortunate experience of having)? Also, good luck finding a decent replacement tire for this car for $30. You really made me laugh there.

And, please, tell us what adds up to 30 lbs. I'm assuming you are including the tire, jack and wrench?

guess I just proved you wrong then

if and when you get a flat, what's better, to fix it yourself in under 15 minutes, or to call and wait for AAA, then have them tow your car somewhere, wait as they fix your tires, and then go on your marry way.

and the "call your parents" bit... have you ever even changed a tire?

I honestly don't think he was serious, other than resurrecting an old thread to get a reaction.

I have no idea what you're talking about...which pretty much fits all your posting in this thread today.

Try it out yourself. After spare tire is removed, some noticeable difference:
-car is a little bouncier, you feel bump oscillations more
-while stopping with your breaks, you roll forward much less... you feel like you can stop on the spot
-acceleration feels "easier"
-steering wheel feels harder to turn at corners

After adding 20gallons of gasoline in tank, some noticeable difference:
-car's bounce is improved, bump oscillations is decreased
-steering wheel feels much easier to turn at corners
-breaking you feel rolling increases by a little bit

The noticeable difference of adding 20 gallons of gas to these cars would indeed be huge!
- Very irate gas station attendant for pouring 7 gallons of gas on his lot
- Possible Fire Department response
- MOE fine for environmental impact if gas flows off the pavement
- Gas from the huge pool splashing up under your car as you drive away could catch fire
- Your car would smell like crap for at least an hour or two
