snapped the flywheel

So\ many of you may know that I had recently replaced my engine, got a replacement with 35K miles for 2500, no core charge.

Well last friday I snapped my fly wheel. I had thought I may have lunched my tranny but turned out to be just the flywheel, well AND the center knob on the torque converter.
so I had a spare flywheel from my other engine, but I didn't have a spare torque converter.

So I check online, cheapest I can find is $500. Check with the dealership and it's going to cost me almost 700 WITH my discount.

DAMN!!!!

So I call the place I got my engine from to see if they still have the torque converter. They do but will only sell it with the tranny...

So long story short, I get the tranny torque converter, no core charge for $750 and now I have a spare tranny and a core for an upgrade torque converter...lol

So for 3250 I got a complete engine and tranny...lol

Hey Jaden I would be interested in the trans for R&D if you want to let it go.

I'm pretty sure it was probably due to either a bent torque converter knob when the engine was lined up, or failure to torque down the bolts on the torgue converter to spec... I should've done the swap myself, but the deal was too good to pass up and I'm too busy most of the time.

wait, so someone else put the engine in? Aren't they culpable for damages then?

Were I able to prove that the damage was caused by negligence.
