big nay nay the rear don't look like a veloster. it resemble the Honda crz more. nice concept but in all the rear do remind me of the subie wagon and to complete the job nicely needs to shorten up the front end. just my point if they wanna build a wagon. I see 3 doors not four like the detail saiy

Also, Golfs are nice, but they're not RWD. If Toyota were to make this, they'd instantly have the best handling hot hatch in a market that seems to still be buying hot hatches in droves. That's a very good argument for Toyota to do this.
It is not only about the Golfs. Maybe Mr. Tada was too jealous with the bmw 1-series when he was visiting us here and thought to experiment with something similar.

I've said it also in the past. When they first delivered this car, they did something different than the others. I am not saying that it was perfect, but it was something that no one else could provide. Now they are trying to transform it to something else that other manufacturers are providing for years and they are doing it much better. I am pretty sure that with such movements will attract new buyers, but this audience will not know what they are doing or what they are buying. There are much much better options and alternatives in the hot-hatch area!

Couldn't agree with you more. Personally, I love how this looks, though I can't help but feel like the rear end is just a Veloster, and this is some elaborate prank.

It is, they are photoshoped. If you look closely at the trim in the second picture it is still in the original place. (Top of driver's side window). But this was a great troll and I'm sure it will go on for a few days hahaha.

Are y'all taking about the pics from the OP? They're most definitely not photoshopped. They're very real and is unfortunately the best Toyota could come up with.

Pro-Tip though, this car will never see the light of day, so don't wait around for the hatch to come out.

That's kind of too bad, I could really get behind this. There have been plenty of times where I wish I had *thiiiiiiiiis* much more rear cargo space. The shooting brake is the thing that might be able to sway me to get another twin.

Yeah I think it's actually falling off. Can't expect prototype window trim to work properly!

It just came off it isn't shopped.
Hey they spent tens of dollars on that unveiling ceremony and you can't expect an event that large to go without a hitch.

Like Guf said real but not a high priority for Toyota.

The glue is ovious on the roof line and every single picture shows the split in exactly the same place. Besides if you are going to shop a concept why do it in pics of a parking lot in rural Australia?
