As expected, I finally hit 50k today. It hasn't been easy. Twice I have considered seriously to sell the car and get another SUV. I don't know whether we shall have another 50k together. Sad.

I just passed 50k. It took 3.5 years. My commute is 79 miles tough trip. I will have a high mileage BRZ soon enough.

Here's my BRZ engine startup at 120k miles. 10k miles after valve spring recall, fresh spark plugs, revised throwout bearing, fresh 0w20 oil.

Guess this is the new high mileage thread.
Up to 113k miles, 2013 FR-S. No major issues, no recalls performed, only a new TOB. Still need to do the plugs.

I'm on original plugs too at 175K. I recently looked up the process and it looks like a PITA so I keep putting it off. It still runs/pulls fine so I'm going with the 'if it aint broke don't fix it' approach.

I'm not in a rush. I've been planning on doing it by 120k since the car had 45k.

It was still running / pulling fine right up to the point that it wasn't so I'm wondering if the "aint broke, don't fix" approach is right on this one. The plug change interval on this car is 100,000km which is pretty high. They are called out to be replaced for a reason so suggesting that it shouldn't be done because they take actual effort to change is pretty dumb IMO. |

With the BRZ, I'm probably going to pay someone to do the spark plugs. If they're going to lift the engine, I'm wondering if it'd be worth it to just do the coil packs at the same time. |
