Got quoted for 177 shipped (chose 10 clips) from amayama. Nice to see the price drop from 240 when I got quoted late 2013.
EDIT: Got my order from Amayama in about 7 days! Last edited by tracerit; 02-11-2015 at 10:08 PM. |

I installed all the black pieces yesterday and I have to say I'm a bit disappointed in the overall finish. The black pieces are kinda cheap compared to the silver's glossiness. Biggest disappointment are in the shift boot cover and the door handles. The shift boot cover has the texture similar to a chalkboard lol. The door handles actually feel cheap. The radio and passenger dash covers are quite delicate, i accidently scratched the passenger cover with my nail and i havne't been able to "buff" it out since so when i drive now it's visible. The only thing I'm happy with is the vertical door handle piece, vent pieces, shift buttons and steering wheel piece. These are the only ones with a glossy black finish to them. If all the pieces were like these, I'd be extremely happy.

I replaced all of my pieces with the Black version except for the door openers - I thought the polished silver looked more, well, polished.
The other pieces look great in the car, but like tracerit says above, it has the texture of a chalkboard. It feels kinda cheap and they will easily scratch. My wife had a clipboard in front of her one time and it rested against the passenger dash cover and left a mark. The Silver version must have an enamel coating that gives it some scratch resistance. I still prefer this color, so I'm keeping them, but I'll probably have to figure out a way to coat it with something to give it scratch resistance. |

its still cheaper to get most those parts from the dealership, especially if you can become friends with the part guys. I got all my black interior pieces for dealer cost plus 10% which was half the cost FT86speedfactory is charging

I got the shifter surround, and knee pad trim from Toyota for $25 (friendly hook up) and then the buttons, handle trim, AC trim, steering wheel trim for $94 shipped through Amayama. The stuff made it here from Japan in 5 days including the weekend. Just finished the install.

FT86 Speed Factory price definitely adds in making some money for them, I would definitely say buy from Amayama and save some money. That's what I did and I am very happy with the outcome!

Local dealer is having trouble finding the part number for the steering wheel trim. Everything else has been no issue. I have a buddy in the parts department that's hooking me up on everything. They say they need the last 8 digits of a vin that has them standard. Does anyone have a car with them stock they wouldn't mind sharing a vin? SU00304253 they claim they have a SU00304252 (last digit) but no records for a 53 number.
