Finished a DIY on installing a car cam using factory option connector power.

http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showpost.php?p=1422079

Then I had to pull my radio - again because my handsfree mic was not working. Guess what? I forgot to plug it back in when I removed the radio to install the car cam.

Then I putzed around in the car while watching the DVD of "The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest" on the sound system.

I told you man! I set my clutch a tiny tiny bit higher than my brake, not lower as the thread suggested.

This was yesterday but after 4 hours of tears, frustration, cursing, confusion, and finally joyful satisfaction I installed my SARD seat covers and raceseng 86 shift knob.

Absolutely love the seat covers. The quality was great with no bad stitching, mis fit areas, or blemishes. I feel confident these things will last and to install I really had to pull hard in some areas (I mean hard enough to make my hands sore today) and there was no signs of the material giving or stitching breaking.
Most of my trouble was trying to figure out how to install them. I had never done anything like this before so I watched some other car seat cover installation videos to prepare (there is nothing for the SARD covers).
The instructions are in Japanese so other than the pictures I had to wing it. After I figured out what to do the installation was pretty straight forward. On the back seat backs the installation shows a certain way to fasten the bottom but I could not do what the pictures showed. I called my wife out and she could not figured it out either. So the bottom just got tucked in and I called it a day.

Now that the covers are in I cannot ever see going back to the stock seat fabric. Out of all my mods this is definitely my favorite and if I was starting with a fresh car this would be my first modification.

I've never really been a fan of seat covers but those are damned nice.

Very nice. I really have been thinking about the red ones. I'll be curious to hear how they are during the Texas summer. I know cars that come with vinyl - the seats can get pretty treacherous in the summer, so it'll be interesting to hear whether these get real hot and sticky.
