Hey All, I was in a car accident a few months back and got my car fixed up. Sure enough, some things aren't quite right. I have the smart door handles and when I go to unlock the car it beeps about 5 times and the left and right indicators go off. It's as if I press the emergency button every time I get in. Has anyone dealt with this before? I'm taking my car back to the shop next week to get the passenger door handle fixed because they didn't put the right handle on it (of course), and my driver side marker is loose. Anyways, any help is appreciated. And yes, I tried googling it and couldn't find a god damn thing. Thanks guys.

Sounds to me like they got a wire(s) crossed up.

You ever end up getting this resolved? Same thing here, accident, passenger door replaced, beeping 5 times now. Going to have it looked at the shop again but haven't been able to find any information about it. Door handle itself is good, otherwise the beeps are annoying as F.

I have a 10 series and I dont have this problem.
The best bet is go back to the shop you had or dealership.
For the side marker, it does get loose over time, and I took both of my side markers off because it is too annoying popping back up every day.

I never got this one resolved. I'm used to it, now. I'll ask Toyota the next time I drop my car off to see what they have to say but as of now it still beeps like it's being stolen. Sorry about that.

I know this is a dead thread, just putting this out there for anyone else that may run into it. Check the connector inside the door for the lock assembly. My car was doing exactly the same after a window replacement. Turns out the connector was not plugged all the way in.

To add to this old boy thread. The same thing will happen when your door lock actuator goes bad.
