On the Hertz Used Car Sales site early today just to see if prices are dropping (yes they are). I noticed this listing. Check out the transmission. I'm thinking since this is for a 2021 Suburban that is not going to be the most pleasant of driving experiences.

I think someone travelled back in time in a rented Suburban EV, then checked it in and Hertz didn't notice.

Or, it could be that they did an engine/tranny swap with a Bolt like folks used to do with the Hertz Mustang back in the day.

Well since it says V8 you would certainly hear them coming up behind you on the highway.

I realize this was done just to make a point, but it makes me want to move to Wyoming as they attempt to ban EV sales in the state by 2035.

My new guy is doing good. He's super young, only 20, but is eager to learn. Today he got to learn how to setup an oxy/propane torch and do some hot punching. Pants browning moments from many lean pops were had.

I remember when I learned to never trust the last guy. Picked up a torch to do some brazing, and discovered someone had the wrong tip installed and otherwise had done a horrid job... Didn't seal. Fire jumped and actually started walking up the hoses. Never want to see that again. Probably not obvious how freaked out I was as I calmly shut off the supply as quickly as I could. Still vaguely wonder how it did that. If it did... Maybe I'm just crazy.

Studio at school was right above a social security office. We'd been evacuated the week before due to a bomb threat. What they didn't know...
