Cooling System Not Holding Fluid
Hey Everyone,
Im pretty new to all of this, and I was attempting to do a coolant change on my car. I removed the plastic drain plug on the bottom and drained all of the fluid, but after I have put the plug back in and tried to refill it, all of the fluid is flowing out. Specifically it is coming out from the valve right above the plastic drain plug. Am I missing something? And thanks in advance. |

Do an air pressure (pump test) and see where the air is escaping.

Ok. Odd that you wanted to change the coolant. If you saw that the coolant level was just low just keep adding a cup of coolant. It's kind of normal to lose a cup every season.
Just in case there is a proper way to "bleed" the coolant system. Why you didn't download the repair manual or YouTube/google it, is all on you.

Apparently there was a contaminant in the system that was degrading the rubber, so I needed to do a full flush. Also if turned out that there was a missing o-ring on the drain plug, so the valve above was not sealing. Thanks for the help though!
