The state is spending thousands of dollars to "search" for remains of the people incinerated in the Camp fire in Northern Cal. They are literally sifting thru ashes for tiny bits. They say they are lucky if they find a tiny bone fragment that isn't cremated to the point of not being able to pull DNA. So what do they do when they find a tiny cremated piece of human? Spend more to DNA test to confirm the fragment was your loved one? Well, they found it where their house was, and they are missing, and Grandma couldn't walk, who do you think it was? Then, what do they do with this tiny cremated bone fragment? Cremate the cremated ashes and spread them in the forest....again? Hand it to relatives and say "here, we found Grandma?" Just seems silly to me, and better for everyone if they spend the resources on the living and rebuilding.

Jokes on you. Grandma could walk, and used the fire to escape her debts and live out the rest of her days in Cancún. It turns out that she's been slinging dope for years, but had a shipment picked off by the feds. No way she was gonna repay the supplier in time. That body was the mail carrier, who she killed using a poisoned oatmeal raisin cookie.

I may watch too many detective shows.
