No ABS . I'm eliminating most none essential functions. Basically turning it into a 1995 RWD basic car with a swap. It will still have power steering and AC

It will be a while before I know I did that after I sold the engine and trans. Won't know until the swap is completed. It will be documented once I have all the parts. Early next year is my estimate.

It looks like Element Tuning got it to work

As for Ryan he is running a different control arm setup for drifting and that may be the reason why he cannot run a sway bar, image below is pre LS swap:

@Zero That I know of, without ABS Module, Power Steering won't work. So you will need to come up with a special wiring kit for it.

Everyone I have seen/talked to has been able to keep the sway bar, other than Ryan. Not sure why.

Worked on the car more last night.

Got the tunnel cut. I took a video instead just pictures, but I will toss some pictures I stole from the video until video is finished.

Used Grinder with cut off wheel to make the side cuts, and dremel to make the top cut. Bent it down and used dremel to cut the opposite side top from back side.

[/url]

Cleaned it up, hammered everything down and painted it (not cleaned or painted here)

Stainless Waterpump bolts.

Wired up!

Only issue is that the engine side of the harness is the one that passes through the firewall, so I have to under the harness -_- . Luckily it is really easy. Everything fits the transmission except the Speed Sensor plug, because the Trans uses a ford VSS. I have ordered the pigtail to fix that.

Not sure what the plug on the right goes to. Need to figure that out.

Now the difficult part of the body side of the harness.

Came with it's own Fuel Pump relay

I got the invoice for the rest of the payment for the MRS Canbus device. Excited to get that. I also bought a swivel thermostat housing, hoping it doesn't leak haha.

Looking at the harness and noticed the Back up lights and neutral position wires I left by the trans tunnel need moved. So I have to tear apart the wiring harness and pull those through the firewall. Joy.

doesn't appear to be much room for the heater core lines. How much room is there with the intake cover off? (piece that goes on top of the intake)

I kept the electronic section of the abs. I just unbolted it from the aluminum block and tossed that section. Others have kept power steering this way. Once I know how to keep the power steering without that I will be doing a rewire of the entire car from the headlights to the taillights with the race pak smartwire.

That piece doesn't interfere at all with heater hoses. They will need trimmed down a tad, and tight 90 hoses put on. I will get better pictures on my lunch break.

I just got a call the driveshaft is ready, so I will run and grab that at lunch as well

Edit: Ignore the words "ABS Lines" and "Power Killing 90" lol

How about on the other side of the steering shaft? Make the exhaust hug the engine. And honestly get some pie cuts in there and you're good to go. I might do these headers and make them 3"

Also you might want to look into the VSS sensor as you might need to switch it out to a GM sensor. Not sure if the voltage range set is the same.

ABS module is the other termination point for the CAN bus (ECU being the other). A bunch of nothing will work if the CAN bus isn't properly terminated.

Looking at his picture again. He does infact have a sway bar attached. Its not hooked to the strut though, its hooked to the control arm.

Driveshaft is in. I really like it, and they were really interested in the project.

Went to slide under the car (which may have been a mistake, the storms have covered the parking pad/driveway in a nice thin coat of mud. Didn't seem to get any on me this time) and found I couldn't get the driveshaft into the transmission. Had a mini-freak out session. I was trying to figure what I did wrong, or if I forgot something. It was hitting the body, but didn't think it was enough. Well it was...

Slight Persuasion upward on this body panel (part the old carrier bearing bolted to) with a small sledge and the driveshaft slid right in.

Checking clearance around the driveshaft and it is pretty tight. Nothing should be an issue except maybe the two center bolts. May remove and cut shorter, or source slightly shorter bolts:

and she is in:

@all4spl Pictures for you.

Edit: All4spl I believe it should plug in a be fine. Everything I have read says it's plug and play, just build a patch harness or repin it. I will definitely keep it in mind though.

Thanks buddy Also looking at that picture, why no oil pressure sensor? I know with my corvette, it will go into limp mode / wont start without oil pressure, temp, and level sensors.
