$25k for a salvage title? Ouch. GLWS though.

Yeah, but it is still a used car that has a salvage title. Salvage title cars are typically about 50% less than what a typical model would sell for. I suspect you are about $10-12K too high.

you can buy a brand new series.blue for 29k new, many dealers still have them

save 4k to be second owner of a salvaged car over a brand new one, yikes

I have to agree I paid just under 30 out the door for my blue series, salvaged titles suck and they do drop the price at least 40 percent of the car. But GLWS

Thanks Guys for your input. Salvage in our world is 20 to 30% less than a clean title. If this was a regular limited model it would be around 18 to 19 but just because there are few of these out there the price is higher. Dealers here in town sell the limited new 2015 for around 33k out the door, again we are in Ca and prices range state to state.

What they list is not what they get, though.

Im in California bought my blue series in August for 29k from riverside dealer, but if u go to puente hills hats a different story lol, they wanted 33 for a 2014. But salvage titles pretty much cut the car in half for price from my experience 20-30 percent decrease is dreaming. Now if u were selling this in Hawaii different story as the prices are higher than the Main land like I said before GLWS but I think it will get 22 to 23 max but realistically 18 because these cars aren't sold out yet and is still pretty attainable.

thanks for the feedback. Your experience is very poorly informed. Insurance companies do not want to sell these less than 10 to 12 k plus repair, tow, so the 50 % your mentioning is far fetch. In the real world the principle that sets the rule is supply and demand. Even if its clean title but there is no demand on it it will sell cheaper. Supply and demand has a big play, but in real world the car with a branded title will reflect 20 to 35% off. If you have a full coverage on a branded title and you total the car and it is your fault the insurance will pay you 30 to 35% less of the market value, however if it is the fault of the other party they will pay you full market price or kbb value.
Most of those who claim 50% less value are subjective statements from people that lack information and real experience in this line of work.

The only time it might be close to 50% less is on a high end vehicles such as over 100 k there i do see a substantial difference. For example a 2008 Lamborghini LP 640 my buddy just finished costed around 90k all done and finished, or a 2013 m3 competition package with 5 k miles was around 33 where it was at the dealership for around 75 for a loaded one. So on the High end more expensive cars there is a bit more gap..
