How bad is it?

Prob the cost of one hp tire. You can buy mine ill even throw in 3 other ones if just in case it happens again haha

I would take the nail out spray soapy water on it and see if it bubbles.

It's pretty bad. Enough that I have a constant slow leak.

New tire with installation is $284.

I would have just put 2 different tires on and kept the good one.... then couple pay checks later bought the other 2 to match the set. PRIMACY tires are expensive, and good for PRIUS' but not for the FRS.

Ahh kk I would buy new good tires and sell the HPs to a tire shop or prius owner with some ballin 17s

The stock tires are pricy and not worth it at all.

Hell if you got the cash buy rims and tires and they will come mounted already for you.

You just reminded me that I've had a tire plugged for like 6,000 miles.

I should probably get that fixed.

Yeah Primacy HPs are damn expensive. You could get a Pilot Super Sport for less per tire and those are the best sport tire in existence.

All things I should have done prior to the post! Guess I will just eat this tire and remember not to do it again.

Fun update - the dealer just got the tire in on Monday. I went in today to get the new Primacy HP put on and my first service done. 1.5 hours later I get called into a room with my service agent and 3 service techs. They informed me that the right tire was ordered but the wrong one delivered. The tech didn't notice until after he had the wheel mounted and balanced.

Long story short I had them put the damaged tire back on and get to play the waiting game for the correct tire to come in (2 days if they are to be believed). It was 2 days from my original post and it took over 2 weeks and 3 phone calls to get it in.

Oh the joys of Toyota Service Departments

I just came back from a trip overseas to find one of my tires was completely flat. Damn nails. Luckily the nail wasn't in the sidewall, so was pretty easy to patch. Otherwise I'd be out $170 for a crappy Turanza tire.

Should have just bought upgraded tires and avoided the entire hassle.

I got a wheel and tire protection plan from my dealership that covers any wheel and tire ever mounted to my car. And it costs less than what a replacement wheel would cost so it's a win-win for me. I'ld see if your dealer offers something like that.
