Someone is paying for the domain name, and either a hosting fee or hardware to run the site.

Looking at the WHOIS information it appears to be hosted at SoftLayer in their Dallas Data Center which is a division of IBM.

I remember before internet car forums and all this google knowledge, we would meet in the evenings in town, with our cars, at the local gas station and talk cars.

It didn't take long to figure out who knew what. If we would have some smart ass that was spouting a bunch of shit, we would take him out back of the station and slap him around till he went away and stayed away.
