Clutch spring delete problems

I did a clutch spring delete well over a year ago haven't had any issues, heard a strange noise from my clutch pedal the other day(was about 28F) just curious if anyone has experienced any actual issues concerning the clutch spring delete in the long term
2016 frs roughly 35k miles

I haven’t had any issues and I had my clutch spring deleted for about 30k miles. I have a squeaky clutch only when it’s cold but that’s because cold.. or my clutch fork or TOB need lubrication.

Besides that, did you do a clutch adjustment after you took the spring out? Or just took the spring out?

I've had a similar issue. I recommend greasing the clutch fork. Greasing the lower pivot in the bellhousing is a pain, but the upper part where the slave cylinder pin engages is easy to get to and makes a noticeable improvement in clutch pedal smoothness and quietness.

Yep, like said, most likely the clutch fork just needs a dab of grease.

Mine started doing the same thing ...... but, I just notice it when it's in the garage. I just pay it no mind .....

Clutch spring has zero effect on anything relating to the clutch system.

Hey humfrz, how did you lube it? Did you have to drop the transmission down to lube it? Or is there a boot or cap accessible from underneath?
Would a little white lithium grease spray do the job?

The clutch fork sits right on top of the transmission, so it's accessible from the top via rubber boot. The pivot is kind of deep in the bell housing though. I've used a white lithium spray, as well as a long Q-tip thing with grease on the end. Just be careful with the spray, you don't want to get it on the clutch disc.

Oh, I haven't lubed mine. I don't hear it squeak often, only when I'm in the garage with the passenger side window down (my good ear is near that side).

However, if I weren't so lazy, I'd follow these instructions from ol @Ultramaroon.

Quick & dirty: from @Ultramaroon
1. Detach the slave cylinder. Leave the hydraulics alone.
2. Remove the dust boot from the fork.
3. Reach down behind the fork with a finger and feel for the pivot. It's going to be tight because of the retaining clip.
4. Squeeze a decent glob of Lucas Red & Tacky #2 in there with your finger.
5. Jiggle the fork to distribute the grease as much as possible. It'll work in more on its own.
6. Put a dab of grease in the top pivot where the slave pin goes.
7. Reassemble.
