Tire gauges are a bit like a dyno to me - consistency matters more than accuracy. That said, the Joe's Racing gauges that many people use (incl myself) aren't terribly accurate over time. Just threw one away that decided to start reading significantly low - I always have two gauges so I can compare, one for the garage and one in the autox box. The new one I bought reads differently than the spare that I didn't throw away so not totally sure which one is correct. I might switch to Longacre.

DS Build of 2023 GR86
Hi everyone,
I am planning on building my GR86 up for DS. I have the crash bolts. I purchased Koni yellows. I have 7mm spacers and I'm prepared to buy other ones if needed to get the permissible offset with the wheels I will be getting (likely RPF1). I am leaning toward the narrower Karcepts front bar. I am interested in the best way to get the shims/sleeves needed for the Koni strut bolt holes. Should I reach out to Koni? Also, more importantly, what do I need in the way of top hats for the rears? Is there a conventional wisdom at this point as to what bump stops to use for Konis? Thanks in advance. |

Yes contact koni direct for the legal centering washers. Shouldn’t be anything wrong with oe top hats (not that you can legally do anything about it anyway) other than maybe drilling out the rear, I can’t remember if that’s necessary on the koni, but that’s dead easy to do. The rest sounds like a reasonable starting point to someone who has only bench raced street class lol.
