Since you started a thread on it ill clarify further on them. They are a good tire just not a good tire for the brz as a summer tire. Also to answer your question no the premicy tires that come stock have a stiffer sidewall then these do. If you are looking to drive this car year round you really need two sets of tires one all season set will not cut it.

...but it's a good point...I didn't realize that the sidewall might not be as stiff as I expect...I guess I will see.

Great tires for a daily driver that sees the occasional snow, by a pedestrian driver.
I don't like all seasons, as they really aren't good for anything other than the awkward few weeks where one morning it'll be 36 degrees, and later that afternoon it'll be 75. If you've got an Edelbrock supercharger on your BRZ, buy PROPER summer tires. DO NOT cheap out there. It's what connects you to the pavement and allows you to go, stop, and corner. If you're looking to save some money, you can always run inexpensive summers, (V12,) and winters, (altimax arctics,) to have good year round performance affordably.

If you want to stick with the continentals I recommend the Continental DW tires. Good in the dry and wett, suffer under 50degs for traction however. I have 245 on the front and 265 on the back of my brz.

Depends on your goals. i have these tires. 265/35/18 squared on my brz right now.
My car is 99% spirited street driven. Its not my daily so I try to keep it garaged when it rains but living in Louisiana thats not always possible. For the driving i do the tires are great, they grip fine, they hold up in rain and water fine and the tread life is great on them. I bounce back and forth between and Florida, there is only hot, hotter and rainy as far as seasons so these tires are fine for the type of driving i do and the weather i encounter. There are defiantly better tires out there for weather or for grip or for sidewall stiffness but these are a good all around tire. I'm looking forward to seeing how long and well these hold up for. |

I have the DW 245/35/18, immense difference from stock tires. I can push the car to the turn/curve way more to the limit. No more skidding after 1st gear pull and turn either. Don't know much about DWS but they are highly rated as well, and would probably offer more traction.

They aren't horrible but not grip monsters. Though I think they have more grip than my heat cycled OEM Primacy now. Id rather summer/winter dedicated though. All season is so meh now that I have had dedicated sets.

I have the DWS 06's on my car. And for daily driving, they are great. The grip is better than I expected, but honestly, next time I'll just get the regular DW for better summer grip.
