Drove it! My buddy finally had hit 1k miles on his new 2016 Golf R, so we took our cars out to some of the sweet twisty mountain/canyon roads around here. I lead and he was staying right on me! Impressed that he could hang!

My daily's a '14 Audi S4 and she has a ton of grip in the wet until she lets go and then it's pretty much snap oversteer where you have to be quick to correct. I found myself over correcting in the FR-S simply because I was correcting too soon, the way this car lets loose is so progressive that I was amazed how much time I had to get myself out of a sticky situation. I think that's the great thing about this car: I've pushed it pretty hard but I have yet to find its limit.

WHAT DID YOU DO TO YOUR FRS TODAY?

Drove it about 50 miles to my girls house. Didn't give a fuck about heel to toe and just shifted the damn thing when I wanted to.

Which reminds me..the other day I got the oil changed and the service dude WTF'd my 2013 FRS that I bought new that's completely stock. Edit: I had legal tint put on it hah.

I don't know if I don't fit in on this forum or if I need to get w the program and start being cool.

Don't mention me I won't get the alert. I'm on tapatalk.

So tonight, I decided to remove the intake sound tube from my car for no other reason other than very slight weight reduction and just wanting to be productive tonight.

I followed the $4 DIY and saw it being removed firsthand at a local DIY day, so I attempted to do it myself.

The bottom last plug connecting to the body of the car was a bitch to remove and I mutilated the plug removing it by brute force. Otherwise, everything else went smoothly; nothing else that was a pain to remove. One just needs the right tools for the job.

Now, there is a notable visual difference, but is there an aural difference? Well, considering that I had already plugged up the passenger hole in the firewall beforehand; I honestly have to say that there isn't much of an aural difference, if any, either at low RPM or high RPM. Whether it's due to a slight difference in model year or due to my ears, I'm not exactly sure.

Otherwise, it felt good to finally do something to my FR-S, even if it is minor.

Doesn't matter. Time well spent.
