Will a GT style/ carbon fiber wing actually help for downforce more than a lip/duckbill spoiler? I love the way they look but I think I would rather have one for my highway driving and when I go out to tracks. I tried driving this car on the highway and I was getting tossed around like I was nothing from time to time..I really hate that feeling and like being more stable.

Yes, otherwise all the cars in the JGTC would have duckbills rather than wings.

You will get increased downforce IF it is set up properly, and is a quality item (i.e. not a $99 Ebay special). The drawbacks though are that you're likely to have more drag, so freeway-level speeds may affect top speed and fuel economy. That's why I'm going with the one I selected. SARD's Fuji-spec spoiler was designed with high-speed circuits in mind; so it may have less downforce than some others out there, but it'll also have a lot less drag. And since I live in the middle of the desert (i.e. not a decent curvy road within 300 miles of here), that means my girl will be spending most of her time on the freeway above 65 mph.

I wish something like this would become available, i had it on my 350Z its an original Nismo Long Nose 350z wing. Fully adjustable so you can change the setup for street or track.

Here is a pic of my ex 350z with the wing on!! Id totally rock something like this on my FR-S!!

This August, Sard is coming out with a Toyota 86/ BRZ specific carbon-fiber GT wing. I'm planning on picking one up in the Fuji style, painting the wing in Whiteout to match my car, and leaving the end caps in carbon fiber.

Yes, people will gasp in horror; yes, those same people will yell at me about how I've ruined a perfectly good car; and no, I won't care. Gold Volks or Advans, big GT Wing, and TRD body kit... that's what I like.
well at least you're going with a nice company that will make a quality wing. Props for not caring, its YOUR car, you do what you want and dont worry what other people think.

Personally, i love the way the five axis spoiler flows with the car, i just want to see it in person.

I could see it... I could see it more if you painted the end caps whiteout and left the wing portion bare. But that's just me.

Mm, that would also be incredibly good looking. Unfortunately, I live in the desert, and since this car's my daily driver that means it'll be sitting in a parking lot in direct sun a lot more than I would like. So I'm concerned about the carbon fiber resin discoloring or disintegrating in the heat. I figured it would be cheaper and easier to replace the wing-tips in a couple of years (especially since SARD sells them separately, and in different styles) than to replace the whole wing itself.
