My seat hates me, looking for options
Love my car, like the seat bottom, just the wings on the seat smash into the nerve on both my rear shoulder cuffs. Its bad enough that driving for more than 20 minutes will give me shooting pains for hours down both arms.
I alleviated a lot of it by putting a 1" bolster pad along the seat back so I don't cup down into the seat as much but that throws everything about the seat off, including making my heated seat much less effective. Is there anywhere that sells fitted replacement seat backs or any really good suggestions for fixes? |

Install a bench seat from a '73 el camino? Sorry dude, but I don't know what performance seats fit you. do you have a seat style you have used and are comfortable in? Buy that particular aftermarket seat and install that is my only advice. |

Results of a search: you can bend the shoulder bolsters out so they're a bit wider.

Did the DIY method help at all?
I am having the same issue, I am not overweight or that tall, I have broad shoulders, I feel like it digs right into the back of my ribs. I am very close to trading the car in and taking a loss on it. |

I looked through the seat thread and I am having a tough time deciding on what would fit. If anyone has any links to a good comfy seat that will fit I am all ears.
The seat is my own personal mid evil torture device. it hits me mid back above the side bolsters, but below the shoulders. Has the seat mod worked for anyone, I am willing to try it or buy a new seat. This car is wonderful, that is why I am willing to try anything to keep. |

Sounds like maybe you have the seat leaned back too far or the seat bottom set too low if it's hitting you in that spot.

The stock seats for the twins are already a tad wider than most German cars with sports package. Maybe you should put in USDM WRX STI seats as they are made wider than the twins seats. |

maybe you can get some perspective from here of seat swap? my concern is that your head might hit the roof since the our seat is much lower.
