Pretty sure car hates the cold weather

I feel like the FRS hates the cold weather more than any other car I've owned and its not really that cold out yet. In the mornings the car revs so high to warm up and seems to suck the gas while driving. Not to mention it sounds terrible.

What do you guys up north think?

1500rpm till the cat gets fired up after that it's just fine.

I haven't seen a white FR-S around but seeing as we're in the same neighborhood I'm sure we'll run into each other (not literally) soon.

I'm in utah and its been acting just fine for me. takes maybe 4-5 minutes to heat up and is just like normal after that. the exhaust sounds raspy for the 1st minute or 2 but thats it.

I'm in MN.

My BRZ loves to backfire while cold (~50 degrees) in second gear under medium throttle. I am using Visconti's STG1 tune but it was happening before I flashed so it's not to blame.

Yeah, right...of course it's not the tuner's fault...
Never had a single backfire even in high-30s.

Easy to skip 2nd gear. Just ease from 1st to 3rd if 2nd doesn't want to go in smoothly.

Thats stupid though. The car is brand new. It is a manual and made to shift 1-2-3-4-5-6. It should be able to shift 1-2-3-4-5-6

No, but at least when I bought my Legacy last year they told me that cold weather could make that happen.

My WRX is bitchy when it first starts in the cold. Hard to shift and runs rough until it warms up. Could be a Subaru thing. Never had that happen with a Honda.
