I've noticed my right rear brakes squeak whenever it's raining/snowing and/or cold. I first thought maybe it's the pad wear indicator that started squeaking (is there one on this car?) but the car is only at 50K km (~35K miles) and I feel like the pads should last longer than that. I looked at the rotor and there is a single deep groove that's not present on the other 3 rotors. What could this be? Is it a stone lodged in there?

You should be able to peek in there with no problems. Basically every car in a parking lot has that design. But for some reason this one doesn't. I think the squeaking is actually just rust build up. But I don't know how you made your brakes last 50k km. Do you just drive on the highway? Mine only had 2mm left after 10k km.

That is normal, unless your doing very hard consistent braking your pads are fine. A small amount of rust appears when there is a lot of moisture in the air which can cause a bit of squeaking. You will see once the air dries out and you drive a bit the squeaking will go away. My OEM brake lasted until 80k FYI and over the years it always squeaked a bit after it rains. Also the oem brakes do have a metal bit that is designed to squeal when the pad wears enough.

As for the groove, that is concerning, I would off the pads and inspect it. I'm going to guess the guide pin on the caliper could be gunked up causing abnormal wear on that disc. You can remove the guide pin, clean it up, and add some silicone based grease and re insert it. I think Chris FIx has a great how to video detailing the process.

That is some serious braking, sounds like you cooked your brakes which would cause it to overheat and wear out right away. For normal DD the oem brakes last a super long time if there is no auto X or track days. Really the oem brakes don't really do well with auto X or track days that have prolonged hard braking.

For normal DD driving, I brake super hard all the time with no engine braking and mine lasted about 80k. Granted I'm in an area where it isn't as hot and I haven't done auto X or track days.

For the first 40K or so it was mostly highway, and even when I'm not on the highway, I basically don't brake lol. I use engine braking a lot and I anticipate the flow of traffic and let off the gas strategically so by the time the light turns green, the traffic starts moving and I just set off again without having to touch the brakes
