I do care and I should see a psych. Being critical of promotional marketing videos on the internet forum for a consumer product that I have no financial or personal stake in really gets my PTSD going. I apologize.

Also, yes, I should be on disability due to my eyesight

right but even then it isn't too bad guess people have some weird ass and impossible expectations. "they don't build them like they used to" like ya no shit, what cheap cars from the 80s-2000s looked like the 86 or even more expensive cars like the Supra, these are quite intricate designs and have mechanisms that makes the body panels, fenders, bumpers on pre-2000 cars look like child's play.. I don't remember my dad's fiero, mr2, celica, crx, or any of his fun cars that he had when I was a kid having any better build quality..

just beware, that is becoming less of a thing that can be changed...

in looking at 2021+ pickup trucks, just the single requirement for models that allow for different head units eliminate everything except toyota. which is good, because my preference is the tacoma anyways, but dreary if i had wanted one of those nice-looking f150's...

You're not wrong. Reminds me of a joke about Amish porn being just pencil sketches of ankles...

Anyway I stand by what I said. Subaru/Toyota have managed to strong along the automotive press and the Twins fanbois (myself included) for how long now? And we're still gobbling it up. Effective.

True, although aftermarket companies will figure it out for high volume cars like Mustangs

Anyway, it's a pre-production model and all that. Maybe it won't be tooooo bad.
What if the side skirts aren't misaligned but is currently sitting on top of the quarter panel instead. Based on the other image posted on the other thread, that's what it looks like to me (see below)

Even though we haven’t seen the “whole car” I still see enough to feel it’s a clean enough design. Not a fan of the front fender top crease line on the vent in the fender, but hard to tell.
It’s clean enough thus far that aftermarket should have a field day from what I see so far.

I’m more interested in chassis refinements/weight at this point.

Nah, it's pushed backwards by a few mm in both images.

Yep that rear section is the poster boy of not lining up!
And I don't care because I have zero love of that skirt or the wheel well vent.
Both would very quickly become a pain in a Canadian winter.

At least 2/3 of the fender vent looks to be real. Be interesting to see how it flows together. I wonder if some of the fender vent design influence is from the WRX?

Probably a great deal is WRX design based.

I would be wanting a clocking plate on there for the winter since it would be brutal with slush freezing up.

I'm 6'2" with long legs so I have to fall into the car and it is sometimes awkward getting out, and I normally wind up bumping/ dragging my shoe on the outer side of the sill when getting in and out. But it's not really visible or even worth thinking about. Looking at this piece with its smooth and flat face catching the light, I'm worried how quickly I would scratch/ dent/ or otherwise damage it getting in or out. It could be perspective and it's not sticking out that far, but I will be watching if early reviewers/ buyers run into any trouble with it.

Even considering perspective it sticks out far enough that I would have it looking like crap in a few weeks.
I like flares and contours but NOT right where I have to get in and out of the car.
Anybody that goes with a bigger tire and drives on any surface that is not perfectly clean and gravel/sand free is going to sandblast that piece bare of paint in no time at all.

Had the same issues with the skirts on my Lancer GT.
