Best Dealership service department

Hey,

I need to get some things replaced under warranty. Just wondering has anyone had any good dealings with any dealership service departments in MA? Im willing to drive a bit out of the way just to make sure no extra scratches or nicks occur on my car, or shitty work being done.

I've had pretty good luck at Woburn Toyota. Just dropped mine off to get the ecu reflashed for the idle dip and to get a new fuel pump. Maybe the crickets will stay away.

Regular maintenance went just fine at Ira Toyota in Peabody or Danvers or whatever, but that should go fine just about anywhere...

Any suggestions on the Subaru side of things? I had a great experience with Patrick Subaru when purchasing, but would never go back for service.

What issues have you had with Acton Toyota of Littleton? My experience has been ok there. I have a 2011 Camry XLE, had a 2012 Yaris SE, and now have a 2015 FR-S. While I have the TRD CAI and Exhaust, my car is otherwise un-modded.

For Subaru, I'll vouch for Patrick Subaru and mention their service is fair and reputable.

I find that Acton Toyota has a "black box" approach to service. They basically don't tell you anything. They just deliver it. Twice I have come for service only to find that they mis-ordered a part. Twice I have had to immediately bring it back for a job that was obviously incomplete. They fixed it, but no apology/no regrets. I find that the service manager is arrogant and imperious and his staff are unhappy because of it. Lastly, I hate their gimmicky point system. They pay some third party service provider hundreds of thousands of dollars to keep charge of points that customers get in exchange for service. Instead they should put that money towards quality control or lowering prices. They are not the worst dealership service department I have used - pretty average I would say. However, they are far below the advantages of using high quality and qualified local mechanics.
