People that ordered from Sierra Monrovia in CA

I have a preorder set for a BRZ at that dealer. I think I'm 12 or 13 out of 15.

Thing is that I have not received a VON and they only give me an estimated date, but even they admitted they don't know at all.

They also said they placed orders for the first 15 in the beginning of May.

Anyone else have any info from that dealer?

Ditto. I have no VON, VIN, nor any more info than you. My sales guy at Sierra has no clue about the eta of vehicle delivery. He just stated that "initial production starts in June" and that they have "yet to see any cars."

But what about all those BRZs sitting at the dock in Richmond?!

No VON and they state they only submitted the orders at the beginning of May?

Doesn't sound encouraging...

I gotta say I've always been confused about dealers not issuing VON's. My sales guy handed me mine within 30 minutes of walking in the door the first time.

Gotta say - if you're 13 out of 15, the dealer will likely get two cars per month from now till November, so you're probably looking at October unless other people cancel and you're willing to take whatever they ordered instead.

Is the two a month a forsure thing?

I'd find it strange that over 6 months since the car would be available, they would only be fulfilling pre-orders. It's a 30k sports car, not a high end exotic.

Yes. SOA ordered 6,000 cars for the entire 2013 model year (roughly June to May), and the first allocations were announced for deliveries through November. So if a dealer is allocated 7 cars, they get roughly one per month. It's not a limited production model, but SOA just didn't order 50k of them, so it's limited availability. Scion I think is getting 2-3x that amount.

Stay away from Sierra. Bad customer service (rude salesmen). They wanted to take monies from me, but it was obvious these guys had no information about the car. "Alvin," just heard about the car like a few days before I stepped in. This was around April, btw.
