Big long scratch
Well, it happened. I was backing my car into my driveway at night (70'-0") and I scrapped the side of my car on my boat trailer tounge. 3' long scratch starting in the rear fender and ending 1/3 into the driver door. Creased the metal too. Turns out, Subaru paint is $400 alone. I have a friend doing the paint job for $700, but most shops wanted between $950-1200 to do the job.
I can atleast say, the paint seemed average thickness to me. Wish it was as thick as my Toyota, but oh well. Time to go castrate myself. |

Don't beat yourself up too much, it is fixable, just gonna take a hit in the wallet, (and nuts in your case).

I had a 3 foot long scratch from my fender to door as well on my previous car. on my passenger side.
But it was done at a parking lot, by someone I don't know. At least you know how it happened. I was kept furious not knowing why or who did it. IMO i rather wish i did it so id at least know its preventable.
