If there's enough oil on the filter to transfer to and impede the MAF's function then you put too much oil on the filter.

That is what I was quoting. But thank you for having a stick and horse.

Doors no longer auto close onto my legs.

Then, again after advice here, I used a hand sucker to remove excess oil from the sump via the dipstick tube. Really didn't want to get ramps and stands for such a simple job. Removed half a litre and the oil level is now just over the top mark, hot or cold. Much happier with it now.
I thought I sent this earlier but don't see it anywhere. Were you able to do it by removing the speakers? Thus avoiding dealing with the awful sticky stuff on the plastic? That's all that's keeping me from doing it so far.

Left the door panel hanging and just peeled the plastic back at the top corner so I could reach in to get the door stay. Used a hobby scalpel to slice the sealant a bit so the plastic didn't stretch or tear. Just pushed the plastic back onto the sealant before putting the door panel back on.

Will depend on your area but yes. My experience is they don't work well dealing with fine particles off road. Desert silt and volcanic ash. You really are not going to see that so much in day to day on road driving.

I prefer a dry pleated filter over a K&N. They work as well and the main benefit you get easier maintenance. Just clean them and dry them and you are done, no oiling. I have the HKS in my car.

This article is a bit dated but is still informative (at least to me).

Track prep day. Brake fluid, oil change, alignment, tire rotation, general checkout. Since the Evora is sucking up the rack had to do it in the driveway on jacks. Glad it was a nice day out.

Unhappy

I hit a large metal trailer hitch that was in the middle of the road, and couldn’t safely swerve avoid it in time. unfortunately had to have it towed to the subaru dealership. Extensive subframe damage and extensive transmission damage just from eye balling it; no idea how extensive the damage really is until the shop can get a good look. anyone have a rough estimate as to how expensive/time consuming the parts/labor will be? thinking i may have totaled it

Took off the duck bill and test fitted the new cf gt wing, drilled the holes and mounted it, as well as the new rear bash bar. Installed some new uel headers last week. Almost time for it to leave the garage!
